There are two types of actions for which the man has to get the results. As we understand for each action we do or did, we have to get its result. As for an example, if we grow a mango seed today, we will get the mango tree after some months and thereafter, we will get mangoes on the tree grown by us. In a similar way for all our actions we get the results. If we do a good action, we get a good result/s. Similarly, if we do a bad action we get a bad result/s. PRARABDHA PRAKKARMA For a good karma, we are bound to get good results. So we need not worry for this. But for a bad karma, since we will get a bad result, it is better to avoid the bad result by resorting to some remedies. For example, say a student could not study well and he felt that he will not pass in the examination. The final examination will commence in two months from now. He may now make much better efforts and also take the help of good tutors to pass the examination. These types of methods, to get a good result for an expected bad result, are known as REMEDY. For a PRAKKARMA, it is easy to find out a remedy. But for PRARABDHA, it is difficult to find a remedy. It is because; a person does not remember what bad action he did in the past life for which he is now getting the result. So great sages do not do PRAKKARMA or erase the PRAKKARMA by means of good deeds and silently get the results of PRARABDHA (good or bad). I will give you an example here: In a television news channel, once I saw that a man is frequently bitten by snakes. One snake bites him when he was working in his corn field. Some other day another snake bites him when he was sleeping in his house. And this way he was usually bitten by snakes more often. He had never killed any snakes in his present life. This is a clear case of PRARABDHA. The person has to do some remedies to get rid of snake bites. Vedic astrological remedies are based on the recommendations of the sages like Bhrigu, Parashara and Jaimini etc. These remedies are of various types. Chanting of mantra, Worshipping and also wearing a Yantra/s, wearing gem/s, resorting to spiritual and/or material sacrifices, and observance of rituals are the various REMEDIES prescribed by them. By reading the various planetary positions of the native, one has to take on to the appropriate remedial measure. I am now giving you an example here: When the 9th house Lord is Sun, and is placed in a non-powerful position, it is better to wear Ruby stone to give power to Sun. As a matter of fact, Sun planet for this native is a strong benefic and if it becomes powerful, will definitely bestow much better result. This is the example of a remedy. So through astrological analysis of the native, one can appropriately prescribe a REMEDY.
