Prediction methods are different for different types of Astrology. In Vedic Astrology, there are four to fice common types of prediction methods.

• Method 1: See the native chart and the Lagna. Get the strength of the planets and judge the horoscope from the Lagna.
• Method 2: Do all of the above, but here the calculation is done through Chandra’s placement. Here the Rasi becomes your first house.
• Method 3: Check the position of the planets in the Gochara chart and then predict.
• Method 4: Predict through the science made by KP (Krishnamurthy Paddhati or method).  He has the Stellar Research and its prediction methodologies and predict accordingly.
• Method 5: Check the Lagna and the moon’s position. Get the results by first calculating from the Lagna. Again calculate by taking the moon’s position. Whatever result is better, that becomes the prediction.

There may be many more methods, but it is better to take the method stated by Parashar in his book “Parashar Samhita” and predict accordingly, if your base is Vedic Astrology.
